Sames MIV660 Electrostatic Airspray System (MIV660)

This is a brand new, never been used clearance item. Ideally suited for the application of solvent based paints onto tubular components.

The MIV 660 line of electrostatic handguns are designed to spray solvent based paints and clear coats or varnishes exclusively, under a maximum of 90 PSI (6 bar) of atomizing compressed air. They are meant to be fed with materials under low pressure 90 PSI (6 bar) supply system like pressurized tanks or diaphragm pumps.

The MIV 660 guns are supplied with low voltage and air by the GNM 100 controller. This unit permits to adjust the HV and current delivered to the gun. A display shows potential electrical malfunction. HV may be switched on/off from the controller. The MIV 660 guns are outfitted with a pneumatic air-flow switch, which triggers the HV on when pressing the trigger of the gun, opening the air valve.

The GNM 100 may be connected or not to the gun /air flow switch assembly. The low voltage cable between GNM 100 and MIV 660 is conveniently located inside the air hose which assures its mechanical protection. The HV cascade is integral with the handgun.

The MIV 660 is supplied with a No.8 vortex spray cap and nozzle assembly, fan spray is available separately - either Standard (JP) or HVLP (ESLP) (maximum air pressure at the aircap 10 PSI (0.67 bar) for the HVLP model).

The resistivity of the paint as well as the paint flow determines the location of the grounding point of the paint hose. This is currently achieved by installing a grounded paint fitting at the end of the guns isolated paint hose or at the base of the guns handle. The MIV 660 guns do not require a column of paint to conduct HV or produce the electrostatic charge current.

The MIV 660 gun cannot spray water based materials.
